OK, as requested a few more pics.

I didn't mention before but the bike comes with both sets of keys; the ignition key also opens both panniers. The panniers come with the inner bags as well.

2006 BMW R1200S

I bought this bike in 2015 with the intention of commuting 170 miles a day between Cirencester and Heathrow. The bike did the job admirably well- tank range is easily up to the job, and I was averaging just over 54mpg- but the constant misery of the M4 took any enjoyment out of it ...

I have an '06 R1200s which I'm going to sell. I bought it for a 170-mile daily commute which it does extremely well, returning 54mpg and easily doing the miles on a tankful.

However, commuting that distance on any bike, on a busy motorway, is a miserable affair, so I have to admit defeat ...

Thanks; I had soaked it all day, and a bit of tapping on the key with a hammer got it undone eventually.

I couldn't get my disc lock off this morning so I had to drive to work (and was consequently late)...

I managed to take it off OK on Friday but today the key would only turn half way.

Should I get the angle grinder out or will I have to hire bolt croppers? It's a fairly cheap DataTool one ...

Has anyone had the brake flange recall done yet?
