R1100S Parts Wanted

Following the theft and recovery of my lovely bike I find myself looking for a few parts to get her back in the condition she was before being stolen: 2x rearview mirror pods (the arms are fine) Rear seat cover with securing bolts (mandarin pref but any colour ok) Carbon front mudguard The catch tha...

Thanks Dai. SE London is changing. You may remember the Lord Northbrook in Lee? It was a dive. Now a gastro pub. But we still have plenty of good ol Sahhf Lundun Booozers! Don't know your old haunt though...

Very nice indeed. I wanted a BCR and bought a BCM instead. That's a Boxer Cup Manadarin to the uninitiated. It's a very exclusive race series....ahem.
Enjoy your new ride. Very different to the GS I imagine.

In the second pic it looks like there's a very intimidating looking bloke's fizog embedded in the chrome. Did the cans come with that as standard or is it a custom add on you've done yourself? As to fitting, I guess you need the downpipe to match the cans. Can you shorten the existing pipe as ...

Thanks for outlining the differences. Having only ridden the 1100, which handling-wise I compare favourably to other sports bikes I've owned, it's interesting to think the 1200 could be another step up.
Cheers

Some excellent advice there and a good laugh too. Thanks all.

BTW, I do notice a big difference wearing my leathers vs fabric trousers. Tank grip and non slip matting seem to be the first and simple steps forward with a re-cover possibly later.

Thanks again!

Slippery customer...

Am I the only R1100S owner to think this is the slipperiest saddle I've ever sat on? Either the previous owner spent more time waxing the saddle than sitting on it or there's something wrong with the shape of the thing, or materials used, or both. My arms ache from bracing myself against crushed bol...

That's quite a cocktail. Good to hear you made it home safely. I'm only 350 miles into R1100S ownership so far yet I've already discovered roadholding is one of its strong points.
Best regards

A fine brace of Beemers there....congrats!

Interested to hear about the differences in ride and handling. What would you say the top three differences are?
