I went for twin lines from the master cylinder to each caliper. The rear just a single line.
I only use venhill hoses, great quality and easy to build what you need using their website.

Are you all bloody stupid? Did any of you bother to check the facts before signing? Well said. But expecting people to read the frikkin' small print or consider the consequences is usually too much to ask. Looks good, so I'll sign it. Phwooerr, I can save a couple of bob 'ere! That petition could e...

Have a look here: http://www.spritmonitor.de/en/detail/252523.html Our beloved R1100S will fall into the £30 per year tax band according to this German site. :D The VFR would stil...

esp. the fact that those most vulnerable do not come forward. Bob How do you get them to attend things that benefit them? I went along to my local 'Bikesafe' open day thing this spring, just so happened to be in my own works council car-park at the weekend, and there wasn't anyone there I could see...

I will dig out a nice picture of someones foot that had hit a barrier (wearing trainers) if we are not to squimish: Funny you should say that. I have a picture, way too grotesque to post here, of the remains of a rider mashed up with his Dainese race leathers, Let's be realistic. If you come off yo...

I do a fair bit of advanced training and Im also an Instructor/assessor for the DSA Enhanced Rider Scheme. The DSA are more than happy for me to refuse an assessment if a student turns up inappropiately 'dressed' and I would, depending on the attire, do this. If someone turned up in shorts and t-shi...

USA or Germany could maybe turn one up? Try searching for a Rockster rear as they are 5.5 as well.
Heres a damaged one cheap:

good link above, thanks. I wish mine had a black engine, they are a vastly superior finish to the silver ones.
Guess that makes it the rarest R1100S then :)

Now that looks nice, and not a replica but the real thing 8)

Im sure the twin spark covers will bolt right onto the single spark having held a TS cover up to my single spark gs. Maybe the originals were ground away racing.

Rare R1100SS or resprayed write off?

Just seen this on ebay. Were these just a repainted dealers special? Looks like Mamola BCR wheels and Replika white clocks have been fitted to one of the slower single sparks to me :? http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/BMW-R-1100s-Special-Edition-/321242229006?pt=UK_Motorcycles&hash=item4acb87690e#ht_167...

Will post the HES on Monday for you to try (pm'd you). What I did with my tester was instead of crock clips I twisted the wires together and ran some solder over them to make my own little pins. Works a treat. :)

From what you describe my money would be on the HES unit. I also built one of the little HES testers, so it will be interesting to see if it does its job, as from what you say it indicates your HES is good? Dan Cata is doing lifetime guarenteed units cheap-ish or fixing your original one. Maybe he w...

How strange is that, Ive just taken mine off and put it back on tonight to replace a weeping banjo crush washer! Yes, its a pig of a job. Any fluid/gunge on the slave cylinder (actuator) is not good. You cant really repair them and a replacement is the only answer. Not cheap, around £80 IIRC. Whilst...
