Hi
Ok I have solved this one so here is how to do it.
There isn’t a circlip on the final drive end it should just pull out.
Also my bike has a full BMW service history!
Clamp the drive shaft in a vice so that the thicker cushdrive is against the jaws acting as a stop to prevent the driveshaft ...

Re: Factory Alarm not working
Hi
Opened the alarm up batteries are at 100%?
Any other ideas? could it be the wiring or is the unit kaput?
Regards,
Jon

Factory Alarm not working
Hi,
My factory fitted R1200S alarm isn't working.
Is it possible for the fob to become out of sync with the alarm unit?

Lower stick coils handed?
Hi,
I have got the dreaded rough running of a faulty stick coil.
My bike is an 2008 r1200s and has done 29000 miles.
I replaced one of the upper coils with a 2hd unit a few years ago.
I've bought a new upper coil (Chinese copy) from ebay I've changed it but still have the same intermittent rough ...

Re: Fork Seals
I changed mine a couple of weeks ago.
An easier way is to undo the pinch bolt on the top yoke and pull the upper fork tube up through it.
Its a bit fiddly but you can remove the seal from the lower fork tube in-situ and then put it all back together.

Jon

Swing arm bush/bearing replacement
Hi,
My R1200S passed it's MOT today after two years of standing idle. I've had an advisory that there is some play in the rear swinging arm.
How do I replace the bearings bushes, is it a big job?
Regards,
Jon

Re: Holey brake pistons and bobbins
Hi
Thanks for the advice I’ve bought a good condition used pair for £100 so will keep the originals as spares. Hopefully will be MOT’d and back on the road next week.
Thanks again,
Jon
