Mine came with nearly new Pilot Roads that seem to suit it really well. As you say though chicken strips are surprisingly narrow.

Suspension wise Im also non ESA. Started off on factory settings but have since gone about half way to max on damping and about 20% up on preload.

I guess i'm doing exactly the same as you at the moment Dave. Swapped the 1100s for an ST at the back end of last year and virtually put it straight in the garage for the winter. Started using it again over the last few weeks and now finding all the good bits.

I filled up last night as well ...

I am trying to run it dirctly from the DVD. It has all the files you listed except for:
BMW-Motorrad-CD.xsl
Temp.xml
Does this mean Ive bought a pup?

Its my works laptop so it's windows XP on a restricted account, .
The disc doesnt give an install option so it's running direct.

Just got a copy of the BM repair ROM for the 1200 seriies and having trouble accessing the files.
It boots up fine and I get all the menus but when trying to open any of the data files I get 'Cannot view XML input using XSL style sheet'.
In the settings menu theres a tab to set the XML folder which ...

I fitted one to a VTR and was very happy with it. really nice people, good prices and easy to deal with. Only downside is that they dont have the cred of the brands where you pay for the name. I would definintly use them again.

Have just been down to the local dealer to get the rear Pilot Sport I ordered last wednesday fitted. He takes the wheel, takes the old one off and twenty minutes later calls me into the office. Apparently Pilot Sports are discontinued and he cant get one :shock:
All he can offer from stock is 020 ...
