Re: Finally gave in to the itch...
It's a great looking bike. Perfect back road tool. I'd like one myself. Is your daughter going the two wheeled route?
Thanks Steve - hope you're well.

Re: Finally gave in to the itch...
A little over 10 months now since picking up this lovely little beastie. 2500 miles, the motor still continues to loosen up (wondering if this might be down to it being an under-square config?) but gets better with every ride out.

Re: Willingham Woods 11/8
in the event that anyone did fancy popping up/down to the Woods today, I'm having to bow out.
Been up with GE all night so won't be travelling anywhere today - well, apart from to the obvious.

Willingham Woods 11/8
<climbs out from underneath the rock he's been hiding under for 7 years>
Planning a bimble (because that's what you do on a 350 Royal Enfield) this coming sunday up to Willingham Woods - LN8 3RQ - for about 11am if anyone is up for a brew & a buttie.
It's a lovely spot, just on the edge of the ...

Re: Finally gave in to the itch...
Thanks fellas. :)
Not been out on the bike for nearly 2 weeks but when I have, it's been thoroughly enjoyable. It's a very different take on motorcycling - there's not enough power to feel any dynamism in performance (although it will nip along) so forget any rush of adrenaline.

Re: Finally gave in to the itch...
It's a delightful little thing - took various bikes out on test rides, nothing of any significance performance-wise (Speed Twin 900 was the most powerful) but none made me smile in the way the 350 does. Within their own niche, RE are knocking it out of the park at the moment.

Swaton Egg Throwing
Only in Lincolnshire - the World Egg-throwing Championship. Not a 'ride out' as such, but a day out involving motorcycles. :)
Also named 'Swaton Vintage Day' which was more interesting, if not as daft. Some nice kit on show though and as is usually the case with these small village events, a ...

Hi Richard
Can't help re Hood but after watching some reviews from MotoLegends (wordy but thorough) ended up buying some Rokker jeans for my US trip last year. Thankfully not yet destruction tested but very comfortable and very happy with them so far.
All the best

Hood biking jeans.
Hi all,
Need a bit of a re-fresh with some of my biking gear, one main item being my jeans. Been taking a close look at some of the quality denim stuff on the market and, trying my best to read through the advertising hyperbole, it would seem that Hood get rated highly.
Anyone have an experience ...

Re: Hello (again) from darkest Lincs
Sadly not, Al. I suppose the F900R is quite nice (and it clearly has its fans) but I'm really not keen on the looks. 'Over designed' is one description I would use - not as much as the latest MVs (which are a visual dog's dinner imho) admittedly.Al wrote:Nothing in the BMW range tempt you then?

Hi Richard, that`s a really nice manly name BTW. Cool to hear from you and your ambition to possibly get back to old habits. All of us are nearer to scoring life`s goal so it would not be remiss to follow your wants.

Re: Hello (again) from darkest Lincs
Hell's bells, Bailey - I know folk often like to move away from the Smoke but Aberdeenshire's really moving away!
Hope all's well.
