Re: Site software update: 26 February 2025

Hi Steve,

See my update above. You need to specify the "www." in front of "boxertrix.com" and that will then correctly match the certificate the hosting company have set up. So, https works with www.boxertrix.com , but not boxertrix.com

Regards,

Paul

Re: First Day of Spring...

Just as long as it's nice on Thursday, I don't really care.

My car (VW Eos) is currently languishing under 3 tarps because the damned passenger window has stuck half-way, and the roof was down when it stuck. Which means the rood refuses to allow itself to be put back up!

Earliest I could get it ...

Re: 2nd Man drop off

Better than most descriptions!

I find it interesting that they expect the ride to bunch up and require the "staggered formation", when the raison d'etre for the marker system is to allow the group to spread out, which makes it easier for each rider to ride safely.

Re: Error Message

Dunno about everyone else but I’m still getting this occasionally.

I was able to access the site at lunch no worries, tried at half 5ish and got the error on phone and computer.

Obviously it’s working now (19.50)

Same here - getting the error intermittently.

I'd also like to report that the ...

In all honesty - the technical glitches recently haven't helped keep the conversation flowing: but hopefully that's all behind us now!

Re: R11S clutch slave cylinder

I did my Rockster recently, can't be too different.

It wasn't hard to do - the most awkward part is figuring out how to get to the 3 bolts that hold the thing in. I removed the large cross-bar that's part of the frame, but according to someone on (iirc) UKGSer that's not really necessary.

Re: the K1

Good stuff!

I'd love to have a go on one of them at some point in life. Vines Guildford once had a group of late '80s/early '90s BMWs in the showroom which were BMW UK's own collection: all of them in a dark-grey/yellow (iirc) colour combination. I'd have bitten their arm off if the K1 had been for ...
