Removing R1200S Screen
Do I just have to remove the two metal clips at each side of the screen and slide it out?
Looks pretty easy but I don't want to break any hidden fittings.

R1200S First Impressions
After a test ride and getting back on my other bike I thought "what have I done". After the first 50 miles I thought "I can't keep this". After 200 miles it's pretty good actually. After 1000 I know I'm going to love it. If I hadn't had an S and a GS previously I might have had a...

Fitting Remus Headers
I put Remus front pipes on last night. When I start the bike there is a lot of exhaust vapour coming from the Y piece to tail pipe joint. I used the existing springs to attach this joint and the ones supplied with the header pipes to join the front pipes to Y piece. There is also more movement in th...

I've also had both and I think I preferred the 1150GS in everyway apart from its size and weight. Like eggcup I was probably quicker on the GS, especially on our crap roads. However, you'll get more 1100S for your money and it should fit down the side of your house whereas the wide bars of the GS mi...

Sargent Seat
I enquired about a seat for my 1200S as I've got one on my Fazer and it is excellent. So just for info, if you don't know already, here is the response I got. "I'm sorry to have to tell you that Sargent recently cancelled development of the seat for this bike as demand in the US has not materia...

Exhaust and Oil
I'm picking up a 2007 R1200S this week with 700 miles on it. I'll probably only add a couple of hundred before going on holiday and doing about 2000 miles. Any idea how much oil consumption would be normal? I've ordered Remus headers for it but I think I'll leave on the standard can. I don't mind wh...

High mile 1200S?
I had a run on a 12k mile 1200S yesterday, which is the first one I've been on. The gearbox was much slicker than I'd expected and the rest of seemed fine as you'd expect. Has anyone got high miles on their 1200S? I'd be interested to see how well they are standing up both mechanically and in terms ...
