Thanks Sandbar, but I knew that.

When looking at the official pictures of the R Sport with the belly pan, I noticed that it obviously wouldn't fit with a centre stand, and I just thought that was stupid. I didn't know this belly pan was not availablle. But if this belly pan was never really ...

Oh, and in terms of the colour, I asked at Vines, and I was told I could have an R Sport painted any colour I wanted, as Vines use a professional paint and repair shop a few doors down. All the body work is plastic and can be removed for respraying.

I rather fancy one painted up in the dark red ...

Duo-Tele-Para-Hossak-Lever nonsense! All I know is it aint the same as the forks on my VFR.

I don't know why I liked the R Sport so much more than the R. It was raining pretty hard when I rode the R, and I was being forced to chase you, so maybe I never really got a chance to get a good feel for ...

Doesn't work that way!

There are 4, (soon to be 5) partners in the firm, and once a year one partner gets a new vehicle, and in that same year all the partners rack up insurance, tax and petrol costs. All the costs are added up, and simply deducted from the turnover as an expense. As such, all the ...

K1200R Sport - A Review

Pete Conrad was the coolest of all the NASA Apollo Programme astronauts. The commander of Apollo 12 giggled all the way into orbit after a huge scare shortly into the launch, and laughted and sung to himself as he carried out his lunar walks. He was also a biker.

However, no-one knows who Pete ...

Now your showing off.
If you want two wheels and your firm expects four you might have to compromise and get a Plaggy Rat.
Parky..

In all seriousness what's the trade off cause you'll have to earn it?
Oh and don't forget the company car tax.
Vans are cheaper tax and weekend rubbish tips are ...

I still get a buzz when I know I'll be riding it back home at the end of the day 8)

Its funny, but I still get excited every morning about riding to work, and at the end of the day about riding home.

And on a VFR.

I love my VFR. If only they would bring out a new one.

With regard to money, as ...

Now I can have whatever I want I don't know what I want.

My company is merging with another on 1 June, and in my new position I can have a company vehicle.

£15K budget for the purchase, all insurance, tax and all petrol paid for. Supposedly for work use, but no-one seems to care what you do with the thing.

I already have a car I like. Apparently the ...

Not yet!!

I fear my ambitions were getting a little further ahead than my means. What money I had saved had to pay off the other half's overdraft last week, so no new bike for me this week.

I took the VFR in to have the rear wheel bearing replaced this week, and the fecking hub is welded to the ...

I had one for a loaner for a week and agree with all your observations.... but then again if you compare it to R1100S it's not better: it is in the touring department (wind protection, comfy seat a.s.o.), but it definitely isn't in the sports department (but you could fix that).

Sure you can wear ...

Erm...gentlemen, bike maybe OK, but that face/design(?)...looks like Darth Vader when in good mood.

Man! Who WOULDN'T want a bike that looks like Darth Vader?

I think the design team at BMW are definately Sci-Fi fans. The K12R is the spitting image of Bender from Futurama.

The fact you don't ...
